This Sunday, at GEODIS Park, Gareth Bale Y Giorgio Chiellini they finally made their long-awaited MLS debut.
And they did it on the right foot; his team LAFC won away 2-1 Nashville SC.
Chiellini had signed on June 13 and Bale on June 27.
Giorgio was on the bench for LAFC’s last game, on July 8 against the LA Galaxy, but did not see action.
Facing Nashville, Chiellini featured in manager Steve Cerundolo’s starting line-up. His former captain Juventus from Serie A and Italian national team played 60 minutes and was replaced by Eddie Segura.

“I expected a tough game because Nashville is a good team. Then personally, it was my first game in over a month.” Chiellini said. “I was improving minute by minute. I was better in the second half.”
For his part, Bale came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute when the score was already 2-1. The former Real Madrid in La Liga and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League couldn’t do much.

“It was incredible,” Bale spoke about his debut. “I was very unsettled in the first half. As soon as I hit the bench, I wanted out of it. I helped the team with few minutes. And for me personally, it was important to get into a rhythm. I haven’t played since the end of the European season.”
With a victory for LAFC, whose captain is the Mexican wax Carlosreached 42 points to remain atop the Western Conference and MLS overall standings.
