Torpedo footballer Muhammad Sultonov believes that the Moscow club lost to Sochi (1:3) in the first round of the WORLD RPL due to the fact that the players were afraid of something.
– The first half was kind of crumpled – they were afraid of someone or something. I don’t know how to explain it. We were told at the beginning that there is no one to be afraid of, we must play our own football. In the second half, in the first 25 minutes, we showed that we can pass. I don’t even know what happened in the first half. The first pancake is lumpy. We will try further.
Genrikhovich [Бородюк — главный тренер «Торпедо»] during the break, everyone said to the point: that you need to calm down, play your game and turn on. Just calmed us down.
I had options from the RPL – teams not from the top 5. We discussed the future with the club and I decided to stay. Why? There is trust from management and coaching staff.
Goals for the season? Win as many matches as possible. There are no personal ones, only team ones, – Sport24 quotes Sultonov.
In the 2nd round of the WORLD RPL, Torpedo will play away with Dynamo, the match will be held on July 24.
