A Cameroonian fan of Krasnodar said that criminal cases were opened against him in his homeland because of the flag of Russia
Cameroon fan of Krasnodar Zomo told Metaratings.ru about criminal cases in his homeland because of the support of the Russian national football team.
Zomo ended up in Russia during the 2018 World Cup and has been living here for four years.
— I have been rooting for the Cameroon national team for a long time. He has been to the African Cups, World Championships in Brazil and South Africa. But our team did not get to the world championship in Russia. And I dreamed of visiting Russia and went.
It was cool, much better than in Brazil and South Africa. I immediately fell in love with Russia, supported the team of Stanislav Cherchesov. And I was caught by a British tabloid journalist. I then painted the flag of Russia on myself. And it was on the front page of the newspaper.
Well, I was immediately banned in Cameroon. They said that I was not a patriot, they opened criminal cases. And I realized that the road to my homeland was closed for me,” Zomo said.
