“Awl for soap.” Filimonov criticized the invitation of Abaskal to the post of head coach of Spartak
Former Spartak goalkeeper Alexander Filimonov told Sport24 that he sees no difference between Guillermo Abascal and previous team coaches Ruy Vitoria and Paolo Vanoli.
In June, Abascal was appointed head coach of Spartak, replacing Vanoli.
– I initially said: a new coach is a piece of cake. What is Rui Vitoria, what is Vanoli, what is Abascal. Now you don’t even have to give a last name: just “another coach”. I don’t see the moments that would turn the mind and make the team play a completely different football. I don’t see magic,” Filimonov said.
He also reacted to a major defeat of Spartak (0:4) from Zenit in the match for the Russian Super Cup.
– After the veterans’ match, Spartak burned out 0-4 in the Super Bowl. It’s a shame?
