Ex-football player Makhach Gadzhiev, wanted for fraud, was detained in Moscow. This was reported to RIA Novosti Sport by a source in law enforcement agencies.
According to the source, the 34-year-old athlete was detained the night before on Tverskaya Street.
– Gadzhiev was stopped to check documents. As it turned out, he has been wanted for fraud since the end of December last year,” the source said.
Investigators suspect Gadzhiev under the article of the Criminal Code “Fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale.”
When he was a football player, Gadzhiev played for Anji Makhachkala, and also defended the colors of Samara’s Krylya Sovetov and Perm’s Amkar.
