The player sent the ball from the penalty spot to the central stand. And funny grabbed his head. Video
Participants of a strange match should be awarded an Oscar. Is it football or clowning?
There has never been so much attention to football in Nigeria. It is unlikely that anyone other than the locals watches it, so the Africans decided to become famous all over the world and arrange a natural circus in a penalty shootout. And they managed to declare themselves to the whole globe!
Videos of these moments immediately went viral.
The world has never seen anything like it
The final of the Nigerian Ogun State Cup, which was attended by local teams Remo Stars and Ijebu United, ended in a penalty shootout, as the teams did not score in regulation time. Or, to put it bluntly, they didn’t want to score. It seems that all this is not just and it smells like a match-fixing.
During one of Ijebu United’s penalties, the opposing goalkeeper stood on his line and did not flinch a single muscle when the ball rolled into the net after a rather weak kick. But these are flowers compared to one of the hits from the Remo Stars, which became the most talked about.
The player walked away to a decent distance, ran well and how he struck … into the central stand! It’s not a joke. The ball flew not even to the corner flag, but to the area of the stands. That is, the difference between the trajectory and the desired one was approximately 90 degrees. And the funny thing is that after that the football player portrayed grief, clutching his head. Oscar for this guy!

It is safe to say that the world has never seen anything like it. Complete madness! Unsurprisingly, football fans on social media were quick to speculate that the penalty shoot-out exposed the match-fixing that Ijebu United ended up winning 3-0. Here are some reactions on social media:
“Oh my God, I’ve never seen such a clear deal in my life,” user Ben Smith wrote.
“This is the craziest match-fixing I’ve ever seen,” laments Ekin-Suiiiiii.
“He also grabbed his head, by the way,” laughs That Guy.
“It was possible to somehow hide the agreement,” Akilas wrote.
Sportswriter Ibukun Aluko, whose penalty video post went viral on social media, wrote that he would interview players from both clubs in the final. Can’t wait to hear how they explain this circus.
