Maxim Buznikin, who heads the selection service of Krasnodar, said that the club allowed foreign players to leave.
The International Football Federation (FIFA) has previously allowed foreign players and coaches of Russian clubs to suspend contracts until June 30, 2023.
– Foreigners are running away, the composition is changing – there was no panic?
— No — we knew what was going on in the world. It was assumed that the legionnaires would leave. They took emergency measures – and successful ones: the team that came after Farke did a good job. Most of the young players who worked with Storozhuk moved to the first team with him. He knew everyone, and the guys understood his requirements. The discipline had already been established. And time for teamwork was not required – everything went painlessly, including for the elders: Petrov, Ilyin, Ionov.
It is clear: sometimes football was not as spectacular as we wanted. But the team did not fall apart, but looked stable. The departure of legionnaires had a stronger effect on Rubin – they decided a lot there in terms of the game, and Slutsky had to rebuild everything, – Sport24 quotes Buznikin.
