Manchester United have announced their readiness to release striker Cristiano Ronaldo on loan until the end of the season to another club, according to The Mirror.
Mancunian bosses do not want to sell the 37-year-old Portuguese. Instead, it is planned that Ronaldo will use the option of extending the contract with the club until 2024, after which the player will be released on loan until the end of the 2022/23 season.
Manchester United hopes that the club will reach the Champions League at the end of the upcoming season. At this point, Ronaldo will return from loan and help the team in the main European club competition.
Earlier it was reported that Manchester United’s failure to qualify for the Champions League was the reason Ronaldo was looking for a new club.
On Saturday, it was reported that the Portuguese striker could move to Atlético Madrid.
