Rubin Kazan lost to Yenisei Krasnoyarsk in the away match of the second round of the MELBET First League.
The meeting ended with the score 3:2. Evgeny Voronin, Nikita Glushkov and Vyacheslav Bardybakhin scored goals for the winners, Soltmurad Bakaev and Dmitry Kabutov scored for Kazan. Bardybakhin received a red card in stoppage time for the second half.
Rubin, which at the end of last season flew out of the RPL, beat Motherland (2: 0) in the first round of the First League. On August 1, the team of Leonid Slutsky will play with Ufa, which also left the top division of Russian football.
