The ex-player of the Moscow “Spartak” Yuri Gavrilov reacted indifferently to the information about the departure of the defender Guillermo Varela from the Moscow “Dynamo” and urged not to worry about him.
On Sunday, Match TV reported that Varela had left the location of Dynamo and flew away from Russia. The Uruguayan’s agreement with Dynamo is valid until the summer of 2023. In its statement, Dynamo noted that it considers the player’s actions as a violation of contractual obligations.
– Some Uruguayan Valera ran away from the base. I, Romantsev and Dasaev are now sitting together – we don’t know anything about Varel at all. We don’t care. Let them all run. Well, he doesn’t want to play for Dynamo, so let him run where he wants. Don’t worry about Varela. There will be! – said Gavrilov “Championship”.
Dmitry Gafin, a member of the board of directors of Dynamo, noted that in this situation they “cannot respond to blackmail” from the player. It was reported that the player could move to the Brazilian Flamengo.
Varela, who is 29 years old, joined Dynamo from Copenhagen on loan in October 2020. Last summer, the Moscow club bought the rights to the South American.
