– Naturally, I’m glad to be back in the starting lineup. I hope this is just the beginning of the journey. I think that we played well with Torpedo. The number “zero” on the scoreboard means that the whole team played well in defense. Of course, we have room to grow, and we will improve. But in general, a 4-0 victory is a good result, from which we will start our victorious path.
– Do you think Varela’s escape influenced your appearance at the start? What do you think of his action?
— I don’t know the details. It’s just that Varela is not with us now, but he was before the match. We don’t know where he is. In time, everything will become clear.
As for my appearance at the start, I think it’s no secret that this story most likely influenced. Because Parshivlyuk played right-back instead of Varela, and I played in the center. But despite this, I am glad that we played in such a combination and won 4:0.
– How did you play paired with Kutitsky? Isn’t it surprising that two such young centre-backs play at the heart of one of the best clubs in the country?
– Dynamo has a tendency to play with a young squad. I think this is an interesting decision, because there are few clubs that have 20-year-old players in the center of defense. I repeat, since we played 4-0, it means that we coped with our task, ”Sport24 quotes Sazonov.
On Sunday, Match TV reported that Varela had left the location of Dynamo and flew away from Russia. The agreement of the 29-year-old Uruguayan with the club is valid until the summer of 2023. In their statement, the “white-blue” noted that they consider the player’s actions as a violation of contractual obligations. Dmitry Gafin, a member of the club’s board of directors, noted that in this situation they “cannot respond to blackmail” from the player.
