Ex-Spartak football player Dmitry Ananko shared his impressions of the game of Monaco midfielder Alexander Golovin, and also expressed the opinion that in the future the Russian will need to change the championship.

– As for whether he is comfortable playing at Monaco, you need to ask the player himself. However, the very fact that the club appreciates him, of course, is great. Alexander deserves it. Monaco, if we remember, has always been able to prepare young and promising players, and then sell them profitably. So if a very lucrative offer comes in, then, without a doubt, they will let him go anyway.

– Monaco has been playing unstable in recent years. Could such trust of the leadership have a bad effect on the development of Alexander?

– Of course, the level of football in France is inferior to that of England. Although, you know, in the Premier League you can sit on the bench for a long time: you came to one coach, he was removed a week later, and you start having problems. On the other hand, with strong players, of course, you grow faster, so sooner or later Golovin will need another championship. Here you need to look at what Alexander himself wants. Still, there is a wave of Russophobia in Europe, and the fact that he is so trusted in Monaco should also be appreciated. But after his contract ends in 2024, one can fully consider a promising club for 3-4 years at once.

– In connection with the current political situation, does it make sense for Golovin to consider the option of returning to Russia?

“I think it just doesn’t need to be done. The French championship is stronger than the Russian one. There is a different attitude to football, it’s almost a religion. Plus, you see, Monaco is not such a bad place to live, – RB Sport quoted Ananko as saying.
