No job, no prospects. What happened to the Ukrainian Voronin after his hasty departure from Russia

The coach left Dynamo in March and has not yet found a job. Andrey is not in demand abroad?

The Moscow Dynamo of the autumn 2021 model is youth, high speeds and a close-knit team. Sandro Schwartz gave the White-Blues an excellent game, the team was showered with compliments by experts and fans. An important part of the coaching staff was the Ukrainian Andrei Voronin, who speaks fluent German. Language helped him to be a conductor between Schwartz and Russian football players.

Everything changed in March. Voronin left the club and left Russia, and Dynamo began to storm. As a result, looming nearby, Zenit waved his hand and left the White-Blues no hope of winning the championship. And Muscovites finished off the most offensive loss of the final of the Cup of Russia.

Experts largely attribute the drop in results to Voronin’s departure. Where is Andrei now, where did the Ukrainian coach disappear to?

Voronin went to Germany

Voronin spent almost his entire football career, namely 11 years, in German clubs. Among them were Borussia (Mönchengladbach), Mainz, Cologne, Bayer, Hertha and Fortuna (Düsseldorf). Therefore, it is not surprising that Andrey went from Russia to exactly where he played not so long ago. Together with his wife, children and father, he planned to go to Düsseldorf. The Ukrainian explained his departure from Dynamo as follows.

– On the 22nd, I re-signed the contract, on the 23rd we had a photo session of the coaching staff. It was supposed to come out on the 24th. Management has always helped me, and in this case too. I said to Schwartz: “I hope you understand me, I can’t work anymore.” I also told the management of the club. There were no problems,” Voronin said.

Andrew is currently unemployed. Rumors appeared in the press that he was offered a job in the Hertha coaching staff, but this information is far-fetched. Yes, after Dynamo, his former colleague Schwartz works there, but the Ukrainian was not invited to the team.

Berlin and Hertha will forever remain in my heart. I have already been congratulated on my return to the club, but it was premature. Maybe someday I’ll be back, but not now. It was interesting to assist Schwartz at Dynamo. Sandro relies on cohesion, devotes a lot of time to each player individually, Kicker quotes Voronin.

What would await Voronin at Dynamo

Voronin’s departure hit not only Dynamo, but also his personal prospects. Firstly, with Voronin, Dynamo would definitely have performed better in the RPL and could have avoided defeat from Sochi in the last round. Secondly, the Russian Cup final with Andrey on the bench would add even more emotions and intrigue to the confrontation with Spartak. Thirdly, Voronin could lead the “blue and white” after the departure of Sandro, why not? At 43, it’s time to fully work as a head coach, especially in a good club with excellent infrastructure.

Now Voronin’s professional future is shrouded in fog. Perhaps he will be able to find a job in Germany, but so far there is no need to talk about a serious demand for a Ukrainian specialist.
