Former Rubin Kazan striker Artur Sagitov called Kurban Berdyev the best coach of his career.
– The best coach in your career – Berdyev?
– Naturally.
– Do you still keep in touch?
– Not. I follow his career. He is in Iran now. I will be glad to talk with him. For me, this is a standard not only for coaching, but also for human qualities.
– Is it true that a little over a year ago he recommended you to the championship of Kazakhstan?
– I was in Turkey and went to negotiate with Ordybasy. The president of the club contacted me, made it clear that they want to take me, but he needs to phone Berdyev. As I heard, Kurban Bekievich gave me a positive response, – Sagitov told RB Sport.
Sagitov played under the leadership of Berdyev in the 2018/19 season.
