Suarez could be teammate with Chiellini, whom he bit at the 2014 World Cup
Striker Luis Suarez is close to a move to MLS North American Football League club Los Angeles, according to Mundo Deportivo.
As noted, the Uruguayan received an offer from the American team on a short-term contract. Earlier it was reported about the interest in the 35-year-old footballer from the Uruguayan Nacional.
Los Angeles are represented by former Real Madrid midfielder Gareth Bale and ex-Juventus Turin defender Giorgio Chiellini.
During the 2014 World Cup group stage match between Uruguay and Italy, Suarez bit Chiellini on the shoulder. The International Football Federation (FIFA) suspended the striker for four months following the incident.
Suarez’s last club was Atlético Madrid, which he left after the end of the 2021/22 season due to the expiration of his contract. Last season, the striker scored 35 goals in the Spanish championship, scoring 11 goals.
