“Stood bare-assed and sweaty.” The football player went to prison and became a porn star

The new occupation turned out to be much more difficult than he thought.

Not everyone is given the opportunity to radically change their lives. For most of us, everything develops linearly. We go to work, fry eggs in the morning and save money for a new car. We have vacation plans and stable ideas of normal in our heads. This is how our parents lived and the parents of our parents. And we are worse?

But moving forward is a luxury. It is sometimes difficult for a well-fed middle-class person to imagine a different life. For example, the life of a homeless child who grew up on the outskirts of the metropolis. Damien Oliver was such a homeless child.

The life of the former Crystal Palace player took a completely unexpected direction. The football player went to prison and became a porn star.

Hard childhood

When Damien was a kid, no one really cared about him. Father and mother constantly quarreled, and the guy was pushed onto his grandparents. At first, they coped well with raising their grandson, but soon Damien’s grandmother died of cancer, and his grandfather fell into depression because of this. By that time, his parents had already divorced, and their son began to spend more and more time on the street, wandering around the criminal areas of south London.

Damien played football for two years at the Crystal Palace academy, playing as a centre-back. But this did not prevent him from participating in all sorts of showdowns. He fought, got involved in casual relationships with women, used drugs … Already at the age of 17, he ended up in a juvenile colony for 4 months. As Damien himself admits, that term did not affect him too much. Once free, he immediately returned to his old ways. And football was completely over.

Pretty soon he got caught again. This time the punishment was much more severe – four years. Damien had to spend them already in an adult colony, where everything was much stricter and scarier. By that time, the young man was already in a long-term relationship and even had children. In fact, he ended up in jail because of them.

Damien’s girlfriend accused him of kidnapping their children, but two years later, the investigation concluded that the accusations were false. Damien was released and even transferred custody. The former football player does not expand on why this happened, but, apparently, his partner was not entirely healthy. After leaving prison, he immediately broke off the toxic relationship and began a new life.

“I endured it for the sake of the children. I hoped that somehow these relations would work. Every time I tried to leave her, I broke down and came back because she begged me. I was like stuck in this shit, and she constantly humiliated me, said that I was ugly and I had a small dick. At some point, I even began to believe her… — said Damien on the Anything Goes With James English podcast.

New life

When things settled down a bit, Damien met a man named Jayden. They were neighbors and quickly became friends. Jayden helped Damien overcome his psychological problems after prison and a difficult breakup and made him believe in himself again. He also brought a friend into the porn industry. Damien at that time worked as a painter and did not receive too much. Videos for adults seemed to him a good way to increase his well-being.

The first time was extremely stressful. Damien had no idea that it could be so difficult and embarrassing.

The operator was a scary bald Irishman. I had to get my device in front of him and … well, you understand. I was standing with my bare ass and sweating, so that I was already slipping on my sweat, ”Sportbible quotes Oliver as saying.

Damien believed that it would not be difficult for him to take on a new business, because he was always good in bed and was successful with women. However, he had to admit that pornography requires no less serious approach than any other business. It took quite some time for him to overcome himself. Today, the ex-footballer works in the adult industry full-time. Damien also meets with his colleague actress Sophie Anderson.

He’s not sure he made the right choice. Damien thinks a lot about how his life could have turned out, imagines an alternative reality. And even recalls his football past, which, it would seem, has long since sunk into oblivion.

– If I had continued to play for Crystal Palace, I would have earned much more football. I thought that I would become a porn star and I would get high from it, but it’s not as great as it looks from the outside. But I’m not one of those who complain about life and say that he could become the new Ronaldo, – The Sun newspaper quotes Damien.

He admits that there is a lot of dirt and crime in the porn industry. However, Damien himself is now in a position where he can choose with whom he works. Together with Sophie, they launched their own project, which they consider an alternative to the big porn companies. They treat their actors with respect and do not force them to do what they do not want. At least that’s what Damien says.

It seems that life is acquiring that very normality, albeit in somewhat exotic scenery. Damien knows that he is now in this business for the long haul. Although you never know how things will turn out…

The RFU thanked the Ministry of Sport for the dialogue on the limit for foreign players

Russian Football Federation (RFU) grateful to the Ministry of Sports RF for dialogue on the limit on foreign players. The Secretary General spoke about it in an interview RFU Maxim Mitrofanov.

The Ministry of Sports proposes to tighten the limit for foreign players by 2028 according to the “10 foreign players in the application, 5 on the field” scheme.

“The dialogue is ongoing and the Ministry must be thanked for this,” Mitrofanov said. — Formally, the ministry is not obliged to do so, since it is within its powers to change the limit for foreign players. But it’s important to understand the goal. A limit is one of the tools needed for something. The restriction on the use of players who are not eligible to play for the national team is necessary to stimulate our system of training a sports reserve. In order for everyone to pay attention to this, invest efforts and resources. But, probably, only an integrated approach will work, which takes into account both efforts in the development of the reserve training system, and the creation of conditions to protect our players from unfair competition from players trained by other federations.”

“We note that today the share of foreign players in RPL and the Football National League (FNL) does not exceed 2.5%, plus approximately 2% are players from countries with which we have special agreements: Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan. These players are not legally legionaries. That is, the maximum is about 5% of all football players. The percentage of playing time for foreigners is now the same as when it was under the strictest limit, which assumed no more than six foreigners on the field. Both then and now – about 40%. At the same time, the percentage of time dedicated to gaming among young Russians is growing: about 18% of the time RPL players under 23 receive. The number of these players in the national team is growing. Over the course of three years, 26 young footballers made their debut there; they don’t take the field occasionally, but practice thoroughly,” added Mitrofanov.

According to the current limit, clubs RPL can include 13 foreign players in the application and release 8 foreign players on the field. In September, the Russian Football Federation said that the current limit allows for the first time to increase the playing time of young players to 18%.

On the popularity of football

Mitrofanov noted the growing popularity of football. “The popularity of football is growing, the average attendance is also growing, despite football being the only sport where you need a fan card to enter the stadium,” he said. — To some this may seem like an administrative obstacle, but now more than 3.5 million Russians have been issued a fan card. Football is the only sport that can provide 100% accurate data on the number of fans attending matches. Average attendance went from 12.5 thousand to over 14 thousand. This suggests we are approaching record levels for the 2018/19 season.”

“Look at the rankings, which say that we have no more watched and watched sporting events than the matches of the Russian national team, the national championship and the national cup. There are certainly matches of the Champions League, world and European championships, which are competitive and even superior in terms of performance, because they are flagship events. But when compared to other sports, even taking into account foreign competitions, there is nothing higher than football in terms of viewership,” the Secretary General added. RFU.

Mitrofanov noted the correct work RFU for the development of football. “Collectively, this shows that we are moving in the right direction: developing youth and investing in football reserves. It is important that even at a meeting of representatives of the association of national football coaches, they said that there may be different interpretations of the limit in terms of demands, but there should be no limit on the field, because a coach is not a mathematician to calculate how many foreign players he currently has on the field, whether he can replace a foreigner or just a Russian player. There are restrictions in both hockey. and basketball, but there are none when it comes to stay on the field. In principle, healthy competition in sport, including internal competition, is beneficial,” he concluded.

The RFU hopes FIFA will listen to the IOC’s position on youth teams

Russian Football Federation (RFU) hopes that the International Football Federation (FIFA) will follow the recommendation of the International Olympic Committee (THAT IS) subject to the admission of youth teams. The Secretary General spoke about it in an interview RFU Maxim Mitrofanov.

In December THAT IS recommended removing all restrictions for young Russian athletes and allowing them to participate in all competitions with the anthem and flag.

“This recommendation has become an important event for all Russian sports. We see that in many sports international federations are making decisions on the admission of our athletes,” Mitrofanov said. “And there are more and more such decisions.” Recommendation THAT IS plays an important role in this process. Let’s proceed from the fact that FIFA this recommendation will be heeded.”

“At the same time, it is important to understand that the popularity and attention, including at the state and political level, towards different sports in Europe are different. The large international basketball, hockey and football federations are more careful in analyzing the decisions they make. They probably already realized that they have overdone it in 2022. Now it is even more difficult for them to get out of this situation, also because they are afraid of facing the position of a large number of countries which, at the state level, will hinder the implementation decisions about our return,” Mitrofanov added.

Russian clubs and national teams have been suspended from international tournaments due to the situation in Ukraine.
