Footballer dies from injuries sustained in mass brawl during match
Football player Misael Sanchez died from injuries received in a mass brawl during a football game in California (USA) two weeks ago, he was 29 years old, reports new york post.
According to local police, the incident occurred on the morning of July 10 on the football field at Oxnard High School (Ventura County, California). Sanchez was beaten on the field during a fight that broke out between the players of the two teams and the audience due to disagreements over the decision of the referee of the meeting.
Several people attacked Sanchez, and he was unconscious and not breathing when paramedics arrived at the scene. An ambulance took him to the Ventura County Medical Center in critical condition. After 15 days, the footballer’s family announced his death. The cause of the man’s death will be determined after an autopsy.
The family reached out to players and fans to help raise funds for the funeral.
The Oxnard Police Department has arrested a 46-year-old man allegedly involved in a deadly brawl. Police are looking for others involved in the incident.
