“He’s old and no one needs him.” Kokorin unhooked from the team in Italy

Fiorentina did not take the Russian to the training camp and wants to get rid of him.

The future of Alexander Kokorin in the Italian Fiorentina is shrouded in a veil of secrecy. The Italian press declares the desire of the “violets” to get rid of the Russian without paying a single euro cent. The player’s environment is ready to fight for every euro specified in the contract. The footballer himself is training as if nothing had happened, and intends to benefit the team in the new season. And in this situation, the fans of the Florentine club can only be indignant about the impossibility of easily parting with the attacker, but joking bitterly.

Will Real Madrid wait for Kokorin?

Get rid of without additional payments

Fiorentina has frozen the contract of Russian striker Alexander Kokorin and intends to get rid of him. This news appeared on the site Fiorentina.it, which in turn refers to the Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Violets sports director Daniele Prade called the transfer of the Russian a personal mistake. And indeed, there is nothing special for Alexander to brag about in Italy. He made six appearances last season in Serie A, playing a total of 53 minutes. The athlete did not score with effective actions, and given that Kokorin’s salary is one of the highest in the club, his presence in the squad can really raise questions.

The current contract of the 31-year-old footballer runs until the summer of 2024, but this is not the main problem for the violets. It is possible to terminate the contract prematurely, the main question is the consequences. The Italian club expects to get rid of the player without any additional payments. Kokorin and his entourage, according to the source, intend to receive 3.6 million euros if the agreement is broken. This is exactly the amount Alexander could earn at Fiorentina, having worked out the contract to the end.

“Told to train here”

Recall that in early July, the representative of the player Timofey Berdyshev, without denying the presence of proposals from Russia, reported that Kokorin wants to stay in the Italian team. As for the termination of the contract, the agent denied the possibility of such an option, noting that no one from the club contacted him about this. It’s funny that in Fiorentina, according to Football Italia, Kokorin’s desire to remain in the team, voiced by Berdyshev, was received “with disappointment.”

There is no doubt that the leadership of Fiorentina is sleeping and seeing how Alexander packs up and leaves Florence on his own initiative, freeing the club from unnecessary financial expenses. But why should Kokorin fulfill someone’s dreams? The day before, the player’s agent said that his ward is training with the “violets”. From this we can conclude that he is not going to leave Italy at all.

True, the press service of the Florentine team, which published a list of players called to the training camp, cast doubt on the words of the agent. Alexander was not there. How can he train if he was not taken to the training camp?

– They told me to train here because I missed a lot and I’m not ready to train with everyone yet. I’m fine. News about the termination of the contract in the Russian media? I always see this only in the press, – RIA Novosti quotes a Russian football player.

It turns out that Kokorin trains according to an individual program. The fact that he was not taken to the training camp with the team only hints at the lack of plans for the coaching staff for the player in the upcoming season. However, even if the Russian does not particularly play, no one will release the club from the fulfillment of financial obligations. You can tolerate a player in the team and pay him a salary in parts, or you can give everything at once – if only he left.

“Don’t give up, Kokorin!”

Fiorentina fans are not happy with Alexander’s game for the club and, for the most part, also crave a speedy parting with the player. But unlike the leadership, who believes in some miraculous way to get rid of the Russian without additional expenses, they don’t count on such an outcome too much:

— What did you expect from the Russian?

He is old and no one needs him. He understands perfectly well that this is his last salary. Why refuse it?

It’s funny that in this difficult situation, the fans do not scold Kokorin, who does not want to concede in financial matters, but the management that signed the player on such unfavorable terms:

– Don’t give up, Kokorin! You didn’t put a gun to his head to sign a contract. Everyone knew that you hadn’t been a football player for a long time and scored your last goal in a Russian prison… Except for our leadership.

– The truth is on the side of Kokorin. Fiorentina did this crap, not him.

– What made them think to go and take a man who has already ended as a football player, and offer him such a fee?

Others believe that it is better to part with Alexander now by any means – just not to hear about him in the next two years.

– Drive Kokorin out, no matter what the cost. Just hearing about it is humiliation. The expenses will be reimbursed by Prade.

– Maybe they will fire the one who signed a contract with him?

Some of the team’s fans do not lose their sense of humor, suggesting that European giants will immediately start hunting for the Russian striker after the termination of the contract with Fiorentina.

– And Real Madrid is waiting for the denouement and will take it for free.

The RFU hopes FIFA will listen to the IOC’s position on youth teams

Russian Football Federation (RFU) hopes that the International Football Federation (FIFA) will follow the recommendation of the International Olympic Committee (THAT IS) subject to the admission of youth teams. The Secretary General spoke about it in an interview RFU Maxim Mitrofanov.

In December THAT IS recommended removing all restrictions for young Russian athletes and allowing them to participate in all competitions with the anthem and flag.

“This recommendation has become an important event for all Russian sports. We see that in many sports international federations are making decisions on the admission of our athletes,” Mitrofanov said. “And there are more and more such decisions.” Recommendation THAT IS plays an important role in this process. Let’s proceed from the fact that FIFA this recommendation will be heeded.”

“At the same time, it is important to understand that the popularity and attention, including at the state and political level, towards different sports in Europe are different. The large international basketball, hockey and football federations are more careful in analyzing the decisions they make. They probably already realized that they have overdone it in 2022. Now it is even more difficult for them to get out of this situation, also because they are afraid of facing the position of a large number of countries which, at the state level, will hinder the implementation decisions about our return,” Mitrofanov added.

Russian clubs and national teams have been suspended from international tournaments due to the situation in Ukraine.

Mitrofanov positively assessed Dzyuba’s invitation to the Russian national team in 2025

Invitation from the Togliatti Akron striker Artem Dziuba joining the Russian national football team was a positive event. This opinion was expressed in an interview by the general secretary of the Russian Football Federation (RFU) Maxim Mitrofanov.

In March Dzyuba scored against the Grenada team (5:0) and passed Alexandra Kerzakova in terms of goals for the Russian national team, he scored 31 goals.

“I rate it positively [приглашение Дзюбы в сборную]. I think it was a good decision by our coach [Валерия Карпина]Mitrofanov said. “The footballer deserves this opportunity. I am quite relaxed in counting records, but for the players and fans this plays a role. It is also important that the coach allowed the player to prove himself, showing that he had no conflict with Artem.”

“He is a good guy and a good footballer and he took the story very positively. He managed to score, it was clear from Artem’s emotions that he really wanted it,” Mitrofanov added.

In December Kerzhakov announced on his Telegram channel that he had sent a request to the International Football Federation (FIFA) about the authorship of the second goal of the Russian team in the friendly match against the German team on June 8, 2005 (2:2). If RFU admits that the goal was not scored Andrei Arshavinand Kerzhakov, then he will again share first place with Dzyuba.
