Portuguese striker Manchester United Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to the club with his agent Jorge Mendes and said he wants to terminate the contract, informs the Daily Mail.

Manchester United responded that they did not want to sell the Portuguese and that the club had not received any requests for his transfer. The 37-year-old football player insists on leaving, but will continue to fulfill his professional duty.

Ronaldo missed United’s entire pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia. He passed a medical examination the day before, and then held a training session. Manchester United played against National League club Wrexham and won 4-1. Ronaldo did not participate in the game. It is not yet clear whether he is going to play in matches with Atlético and Rayo Vallecano, scheduled for July 30-31.

Last season, Manchester United did not reach the Champions League following the results of the Premier League, which is the main reason for the Portuguese to change teams.
