“It would be hard for me to take that step.” Guliyev on Bakaev’s transfer from Spartak to Zenit
Khimki midfielder Ayaz Guliyev, commenting on the transfer of midfielder Zelimkhan Bakaev from Spartak Moscow to Zenit St. Petersburg, said that he could not take the same step.
– Zelimkhan Bakaev, like you, is a graduate of Spartak. In the summer, he moved not to CSKA, but to Zenit. Do you think this is a betrayal?
– To judge unambiguously, you need to know the whole situation from the inside. It would be difficult for me personally to take such a step. But I don’t think that Zelimkhan moved to Zenit to spite Spartak. He is not such a guy, he would never betray anyone in his life, – Sport24 quotes Guliyev.
Bakaev moved to Zenit after the end of the season as a free agent. The midfielder has been defending the colors of Spartak since 2014 with a break for rent at the Tula Arsenal.
