The general director of Fakel, Roman Askhabadze, spoke about the budget with which the Voronezh club plays in the WORLD of the Russian Premier League (RPL) in the 2022/23 season.
– In the FNL, we have a pool of partners, cooperation with which brought the club additional funds in the amount of about 40 million, so we ended the season with a budget close to 300 million. Now nothing has changed for us. Fakel had the smallest budget in the FNL, and now in the RPL we are in 16th place in terms of money.
We are counting on the money that the league has to pay to clubs from the TV contract, sponsorship and partnership agreements. These funds can be added to 300 million, and we will get our budget for this season. It turns out that the structure of our budget is divided into three components: subsidies from the region, funds that we earn ourselves (transfers, a ticket program, merchandising, a pool of partners), and commercial income from the league, ”Championship” quotes Askhabadze.
In the first two rounds of the RPL, Fakel tied with Krasnodar (2: 2) and lost to Akhmat (1: 2). The club with 1 point is on the 12th line in the standings.
