The chief physician of the Moscow “Locomotive” Igor Kalyuzhny spoke about the recovery of midfielder Rifat Zhemaletdinov after an injury.
The midfielder was injured in training in June. According to the results of a comprehensive medical examination and MRI, a serious injury to the Achilles tendon was confirmed in the 25-year-old midfielder.
– Rifat returned after the operation and the initial stage of rehabilitation from Spain. The condition is very good. He began the active phase of rehabilitation in the gym with a physiotherapist and a rehabilitation specialist, in a good mood and with positive dynamics. The reaction of soft tissues is good, so we have every reason to believe that the entire rehabilitation process will take place in a positive way, – Kalyuzhny is quoted by the Championship.
Last season, Zhemaletdinov played 30 matches for Lokomotiv in all competitions, scored 9 goals and gave 7 assists.
