Manchester City have developed a smart scarf that tracks the emotions of the fans
Manchester City has partnered with American technology corporation Cisco to create a new wearable device called the Connected Scarf. This was reported press service of the townspeople.
The device, which looks like a fan scarf, will help track the physiological reactions of the fans and is believed to allow the club to establish closer contact with them. The item of equipment, made in two different colors, has an installed sensor in the middle that monitors the heart rate, body temperature and the emotional state of the wearer.
It is assumed that when the scarf is put on symmetrically, the sensor will read information from the person’s neck. In addition, the device is equipped with an accelerometer to detect the fan’s movements.
Six City fans have already taken part in a pilot program to test the novelty.
It is planned that from next season, the developers will launch The Connected Scarf for mass sale.
