Former Roma and Lokomotiv midfielder Sergey Gurenko believes that Russian Alexei Miranchuk will bring more creative attacking skills to Torino’s game.

According to Italian media, the 26-year-old Russian midfielder is close to moving to the Turin club on loan with a buyout option.

– Although Torino has not shown the best results in recent seasons, Miranchuk is able to bring notes of intellectual football into the team’s game. This is a person who is able to give a great pass, it’s great to play from the depths and close several positions at once: ten, second striker. He has great individual qualities necessary for creation on the field. Of course, the arrival of such a performer will strengthen Turintsy. The main thing is that the partners understand him, and Ivan Yurich quickly found a place in his constructions. But if a Russian is taken, it means that they see him in the squad.

And the fact that the new team solves somewhat different tasks than Atalanta will even benefit Miranchuk, since there will not be such pressure on him. He will loosen up and begin to take over the game more, RT Gurenko quotes.

In the 2021/22 season, Miranchuk made 25 appearances for Atalanta in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing five assists. The Russian moved to the Italian team from Lokomotiv Moscow in 2020.
