The former head of the refereeing and inspection department of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Valentin Ivanov, said that he is not yet thinking about a possible return to work in the Russian refereeing corps.
Earlier, the publication “RB Sport” reported that Ivanov’s contract with the International Football Federation (FIFA) is ending, so in the near future he may take one of the leading positions in Russian refereeing.
“I don’t know what will happen in the future. I have not yet thought about an agreement with the RFU. So far, I have an agreement with FIFA, where I am an instructor in refereeing, – Ivanov told Sport24.
Ivanov was the head of the department of refereeing and inspection of the RFU from January 2014 to October 2016.
