The co-owner of the Moscow “Spartak” Vagit Alekperov insists on the appointment of Ashot Khachaturyants as the head of the capital club instead of Leonid Fedun, the “Championship” reports, citing a source.
Earlier, the Baza edition, citing its sources, reported that Fedun could be replaced in the near future by the former head of the RPL, Khachaturyants.
Fedun was the president of Spartak for 18 years. Khachaturyants left the post of head of the RPL in the summer of 2022.
Earlier, Alekperov, who owns shares of Spartak and is a co-owner of the club, left the board of directors and the post of president of Lukoil against the background of being included in the UK sanctions list. Lukoil is a sponsor of Spartak.
