“On the third of August, a significant moment will happen for me – before the game the Champions League anthem will sound” – a pupil of “Zenith”
Zenit graduate Mikhail Kovalenko, who plays for the Armenian Pyunik, shared his expectations from playing in the Champions League.
– Reaching the third qualifying round of the Champions League is the best result not only for Pyunik, but for the whole of Armenia. After all, no club, in principle, did not reach the third round of the Champions League. Everyone dreamed about it and was waiting for it. We are very happy that we were able to do this. I want to keep breaking records.
We are in the mood to move on. We have already passed two rounds, personally I want us to go to the group stage. Football is just interesting and unpredictable in that any team can beat any. On the third of August, a significant moment will happen for me – before the game, the Champions League anthem will sound. It is very pleasant to play in such an atmosphere, – quotes the words of Kovalenko “Championship”.
Pyunik will play with the Serbian Red Star in the third qualifying round, the matches will take place on August 3 and 9.
