Former Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has joined Como in Italy’s second division (Serie B), according to the club’s official Twitter account.
The Spaniard moved to Como on a free transfer after his agreement with Monaco expired. According to media reports, the contract with the 35-year-old footballer is for two years.
“I came here to play my best and win as many matches as possible. This is my priority, and if I felt that I was not capable of it, I would hang up my boots. I want to take Como to the level they deserve in Serie A. I decided to come here for many reasons. Fabregas previously played for London’s Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea, as part of the Spanish national team became the world and European champions.
