Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has criticized Cristiano Ronaldo for neglecting team interests for his own.

According to media reports, the 37-year-old Portuguese footballer is interested in leaving the English club for the opportunity to play in the Champions League.

“I am not Cristiano, but it seems to me that as a person who is expected to support Manchester United, he does not show it enough, he thinks of himself.

I’m not going to judge him because he’s a great player and I’m not in his place, but I would like him to stay because he’s an amazing player. No one can judge his actions at this moment because it is his own career.

In a way, from Cristiano Ronaldo’s point of view, asking a club of this size to adapt to his dream is a bit unrealistic. Even last season, if by magic they had won the Champions League and the Premier League, he could say he was staying because he was involved. It is unrealistic that his arrival alone would change everything, – quotes the words of Saa Mirror.

Ronaldo moved to Manchester United in August 2021. He signed a contract until the end of June 2023 with the option of an extension for another season. Last season, the Portuguese played 38 matches, scored 24 goals and gave 3 assists. Manchester United finished sixth in the Premier League and failed to qualify for the most prestigious European competition.
