Former CSKA striker Brazilian Vagner Love called the Moscow club the most important foreign team in his career.

At the end of July, 38-year-old Love signed a contract with the Brazilian club Sport Recife.

– The most important club in my career? In Brazil, of course, Corinthians. In this club, I took titles and scored important goals. But CSKA is something special. I played there for seven years, won the UEFA Cup. So, in Brazil it’s Corinthians, and outside this country it’s CSKA, – quotes the football player Mundo Rubro Negro.

Vagner Love played 259 matches as a member of CSKA, scored 124 goals, became a four-time champion of Russia, a six-time winner of the Russian Cup, and the UEFA Cup. He also played for the Brazilian Palmeiras, Flamengo and Corinthians, the Chinese Shandong Luneng, Monaco, the Turkish Alanyaspor and Besiktas, the Kazakh Kairat. The striker’s last foreign club was the Danish Midtjylland, for which he played in 2022.
