Fedun addressed the Spartak players with the words: “It’s a pity that they didn’t bypass Zenit”
The owner of Spartak Moscow, Leonid Fedun, after defeating Orenburg in the 3rd round of the WORLD RPL, told the players that if they scored one more goal in the match, they could bypass Zenit St. Petersburg in the standings.
The meeting took place on Sunday in Moscow and ended with the score 4:1. Quincy Promes scored two goals for the Red-Whites, Christopher Martins and Alexander Sobolev scored once each. Fedun congratulated the players in the locker room after the match.
– Well, guys? With victory! Congratulations. Greatest game. It’s a pity they didn’t score one more goal, they would have been in first place, they would have bypassed Zenit. Well done guys, keep it up. Good luck! There is a team, you play great – try. Go ahead, Spartak! Fedun said in a video posted on the club’s YouTube channel.
In the first three rounds, Spartak scored 7 points – the same number for Zenit and CSKA. To date, the St. Petersburg team is leading in the RPL standings in terms of additional indicators, and the “red-whites” are in 2nd place.
In the next round, Spartak will play away with Ural.
