Cherchesov’s Ferencvaros played a draw with Qarabag in the Champions League qualification, Haikin’s Boude-Glimt defeated Zalgiris

Headed by Stanislav Cherchesov, the Hungarian Ferencvaros played a draw with the Azerbaijani Qarabag on the road in the first match of the third qualifying round of the Champions League.

The meeting ended with the score 1:1. Frank Boli scored a goal in the 17th minute for Ferencváros. The hosts scored Kwabena Ovusu in the 34th minute.

The winner of this pair in the final round will meet with the winner of the Sheriff-Victoria (Pilsen) pair.

In a parallel match, the Norwegian “Bode-Glimt”, whose colors are defended by the Russian goalkeeper Nikita Khaikin, beat the Lithuanian “Zalgiris” at home with a score of 5:0.

The Russian started the match in the starting lineup and spent all 90 minutes on the field. The winner of the confrontation will meet with the best team in a pair of Ludogorets – Dinamo (Zagreb).

The return matches in pairs will be held on August 9 in Budapest and Vilnius, respectively.
