Sports director of Lokomotiv Thomas Zorn appealed to fans of the “railroad” against the backdrop of an unsuccessful start to the season.
This is a disastrous start to the season for Lokomotiv, the results are bad. We are all disappointed and we understand that in the first four games we did not live up to the expectations of the fans, and also to ours.
Our team is still developing and, due to recent failures, is going through a difficult time, many losses – in the last two months, several players from the base were injured, Barinov missed the last game due to a red card, but we obviously do not seek justification for such results. The current place in the standings is unacceptable for Lokomotiv, everyone is aware of it and wants to fix it as soon as possible.
However, I cannot say that everything is hopeless with us. Most of the time the matches against Zenit and Krasnodar have been double-edged, our team created great chances and could take the lead during matches. But after the goals we conceded, we collapsed, we lacked patience and concentration. And in the moments when we have won the ball, we have lost it too easily, it shouldn’t be like that, we will fix it first of all.
I understand the state you are in now, all those who are not indifferent to Lokomotiv, who cheer for him wholeheartedly. Our club, our team, the coaching staff are aware of the responsibility towards you, our fans understand the importance of the next matches.
