Torpedo head coach Alexander Borodyuk admitted that he made mistakes in the fourth round match of the Russian Championship against Khimki.

The meeting took place on Sunday at the Khimki Arena and ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of the Moscow Region team.

It’s one thing to play well, it’s another thing to win. There are certain shortcomings, and in martial arts we are inferior and, probably, there is no such gain in substitutions. Today our veterans played, there was a thought, after their departure everything broke down a bit. It is necessary for those whom we trust to go out and show their qualities. In the second half, we did not finish and failed the game. Probably, they did not guess with the replacements.

There are objective reasons, because we have a new pair of central defenders. In general, football consists of mistakes, we made unnecessary mistakes, so we lost. The chances we had when the score was 1:1… Forget Ryazantsev, the game could have turned out differently. They warned that the opponent had good counterattacks, the guys ran out well. Due to mistakes, we are still losing.

The teams that have entered (in the RPL) cannot yet adapt, get used to it. The most difficult thing is to teach how to play simple football. When there is no marriage in the transfers, the players will adapt to each other, suggest, then, perhaps, this mentality will appear. They always unite victories, until there is no result, in terms of psychology, the teams that came out will lag behind. Although this probably only applies to our club. I am satisfied with Erkinov’s performance, but not entirely with the integrity of the team’s performance. Maybe I made mistakes too,” Borodyuk told Match TV.

Khimki head coach Sergey Yuran said that his team deserved three points in this game.

– At the end of the second half, we played on the score, brought to its logical conclusion – the victory, I think, it is well-deserved. After the break, we added that we could score the fourth. Substitutions began, I began to react, because the opponent was refreshing the flanks, the central zone. What was required was a quick transition to the attack, we did it. It would be wrong to say that victory is easy, but victory is victory.

We are correcting the game. Players were added during the championship. With each game, such results give confidence. It’s not like changing a wheel in a car and everything will be fine. The most important thing is that we score points, it would be wrong to say that by chance, we play our own football, create chances, score. As for the integrity of the game, we will finalize it during the championship,” the specialist noted.

Khimki has seven points and is fourth in the standings, Torpedo is 15th with one point.
