Manchester City beat West Ham United in the first round of the English Premier League. The meeting in London ended with the score 2:0 in favor of the “citizens”.
Norwegian striker Erling Haaland scored twice in his debut official match for the club. The 22-year-old striker became the second player in Manchester City history to score two goals on his Premier League debut. Previously, this achievement was conquered by Sergio Aguero in 2011, according to Opta.
In the second round of the Premier League, Manchester City will play at home with Bournemouth, and West Ham will meet Nottingham Forest away.
