Manchester United lost at home to Brighton in the first round of the English Premier League. The meeting ended with the score 2:1 in favor of the guests.
After the match, Manchester United fans took to social media to point to the main anti-hero of the match, which they believe is midfielder Scott McTominay.
“Never seen a player get away with so many terrible mistakes as McTominay,” wrote one fan.
“McTominay is the worst footballer I have ever seen,” wrote another fan.
“McTominay is a danger to himself, his teammates and opponents,” the fan noted, focusing on the player’s mistakes and rough play.
“McTominay can still get a forklift license,” one user quipped.
“In all my life watching United, there has never been a first team main player as bad as McTominay, I can’t believe I used to complain about Tom Cleverly,” reads one post.
“Honestly, I want to go on the field and hit him with a left hand,” wrote another of the fans.
