Lewandowski apologizes to Bayern fans
Barcelona newcomer Robert Lewandowski said he understands the reaction of Bayern fans to his departure from the club.
— I know that the fans were offended by this move. I can understand and now I’m sorry for that. At that time, it was important and necessary to make it clear that I was ready for change. In the end, we are all human. After 12 years in Germany, it became clear to me: it was all over. I wanted to make this clear because it was not easy for Bayern to accept my sale. It was a difficult situation for all participants, and we had to find the best solution,” Lewandowski said in an interview with Sport1.
Lewandowski has played for Bayern since 2014, making 375 appearances for the club and scoring 344 goals. As part of the German club, the Pole became the eight-time champion of Germany, the winner of the Champions League and the owner of the UEFA Super Cup.
