Cherchesov’s Ferencvaros lost to Qarabag and was eliminated from the Champions League

Hungarian Ferencváros lost at home to Azerbaijani Qarabag in the second leg of the third qualifying round of the Champions League and left the tournament.

The meeting in Hungary ended with the score 1:3. Abdella Zubir (7th minute) and Ibrahima Vaji (55, 78) scored goals for the guests. The only goal for Ferencváros in the 86th minute was scored by Adama Traore.

The first meeting in Aghdam ended with the score 1:1.

Thus, Ferencváros, which is headed by the former head coach of the Russian national team Stanislav Cherchesov, flew out of the tournament and will now play in the playoff round of the Europa League qualification, its opponent will be determined later.

Qarabag in the playoff round of the Champions League qualification will meet with the Czech “Victoria”.
