Former Spartak striker Valery Kechinov believes that the former Khimki coach Sergey Yuran would never have agreed to arrange a fixed match.

On August 10, Juran was officially dismissed from the post of head coach of Khimki. Earlier, journalist Ivan Karpov said that Yuran allegedly offered Rostov to surrender the match of the 29th round of the 2021/22 Russian Championship in exchange for six points in the 2022/23 season. The game ended with the victory of Rostovites (2:1). Yuran sharply responded to these accusations.

– Is Juran capable of agreeing to hold a fixed match? Never. I’m sure he had no such thoughts. At least when I was a football player. In 1995, three rounds before the end of the championship, we had to play in Vladikavkaz with Alania, which then went to victory in the tournament. We were approached with a proposal to pass this meeting. Naturally, through experienced players – Yuran, Stanislav Cherchesov. For us, this match was not of particular importance, we no longer solved tournament problems. But the veterans said, “No way. We will do everything so that you do not become champions tomorrow.” And so it happened: they went onto the field, cut themselves. I don’t think that Juran’s position could change over the years. Therefore, I don’t believe that he himself could try to arrange a fixed match with Rostov, ”Kechinov told RT.

After Yuran’s resignation, Khimki was headed by Nikolai Pisarev. After four rounds, the club takes seventh place in the WORLD RPL standings with seven points.
