Former AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani, who holds a similar position at Monza, has proposed a European Super League without the English Premier League clubs.
Monza will receive 33 million euros for TV rights and we have to give away 3 million euros for Serie B. The recently promoted team in England has earned 160 million euros. How can we compete with Nottingham Forest? And how can I stop this global economic trend?
Brexit should also be in football. Therefore, it would be a real European competition without the British, — quotes the words of Galliani Daily Mail.
Last year, 12 clubs, including six English ones, announced the creation of the Super League. However, nine teams subsequently withdrew from the project. Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid remain interested in the Super League.
