Lokomotiv has no plans to fire Zinnbauer despite three points in five RPL games

The leadership of Lokomotiv does not plan to dismiss the head coach of the football club Josef Zinnbauer, despite the unsuccessful start of the season, said Vladimir Leonchenko, general director of the railway workers.
On Saturday, Lokomotiv played a draw with Krylya Sovetov (1:1) in the match of the fifth round of the Russian Championship. The capital team scored three points in five matches and takes 13th place in the WORLD RPL standings.

– Bad start to the season. Today’s match did not bring the desired result, but this is not a reason for the resignation of the coach. Is there a possibility of reshuffling within the coaching staff? They have all already been done. We do not refuse the chosen direction, but we lack pragmatism. We feel full support from Russian Railways – from the first team to all the structures of the club, – Leonchenko told reporters.
Zinnbauer was appointed head coach of Lokomotiv at the end of June. In 2019-2021, the German specialist led the Orlando Pirates team from South Africa.
