The ex-captain of Lokomotiv Sergey Gurenko believes that the team had an unsuccessful start to the 2022/23 season in the RPL WORLD, as it is not physically ready.
On August 13, in the home match of the 5th round, Lokomotiv escaped defeat in the game with the Samara Krylya Sovetov (1:1), when Anton Miranchuk converted a penalty in the 91st minute.
– She is corny physically not ready, so a lot of things do not work out. Even if we take the last match against Krylya Sovetov, in the first half the Samara team completely dominated. But they also faced serious problems and lost a number of leaders in the summer. The squad has been radically updated, it has enough young players. But that didn’t stop them from playing. Wards of Igor Osinkin turned out to be corny faster, more mobile than rivals in every episode and martial arts. Hence a large number of fouls from the Muscovites – they did not have time. As a result, we managed to get away from defeat and score a point, but Lokomotiv was lucky to some extent, ”Gurenko said RT.
