“I don’t see anything outstanding, the man did his job” – Semin on Miranchuk’s debut goal for Torino
Former head coach of Lokomotiv Yuri Semin said that he did not see anything outstanding in the goal scored by Torino midfielder Alexei Miranchuk.
Torino defeated Monza in the first round of the Italian Football Championship (2:1). Miranchuk scored in the 43rd minute, but was substituted at half-time due to a muscle strain.
– I didn’t call him personally, but congratulated him through the media. I think it is not necessary to inflate the excitement around Miranchuk’s goal. This is the standard situation. I do not see anything outstanding in what happened – everything is standard. He made his debut for Torino – well done. The man did his job. It remains only to wish him good luck. Alexey is at the beginning of the journey. God forbid that in the new team he succeeded. But he is in for a difficult stage in his career, because the Turints have not shown the best results in recent seasons, – said Semin RT.
Miranchuk, 26, joined Torino from Atalanta on a one-year loan with an option to buy.
