Spartak tore apart Sochi. Will Promes be taken to a top club?

The Red-Whites defeated Sochi in the fifth round and single-handedly take first place in the RPL. Antokha scored a double.

Sochi is a very uncomfortable opponent for Spartak, Muscovites have not defeated the southerners in the RPL for three years. Therefore, watching the match of the fifth round of the RPL was extremely surprising. The Red-Whites showed phenomenal statistics in terms of hitting, pressing and attack speed, while Tochilin’s team, which also claims leadership in many respects, could not score even one goal.

The main character of the game was Quincy Promes. The Dutchman scored a double, plus he showed beautiful strokes, passes, worked a lot without the ball to open. In general, he resembled himself in 2014-2015.

Quincy was sold to Sevilla in 2018 for €21m. If Antokha continues like this, he will be able to get the attention of top clubs again.

Melkadze was afraid of the former team

The first 20 minutes of the game justified the status of the match as the statistical leaders of the championship – Spartak and Sochi share the top RPL in terms of the number of shots (including on target), the number of assists, and the creation of scoring chances. The players acted beautifully, with competent interceptions, quickly, with good pressure. In the first half of the half, Spartak stood out, the Red-Whites practically did not let the Sochi players out of their half of the field. Martins was great in the line of attack, Litvinov, who came out in the center of defense, looked even more confident than captain Jikia. True, Ignatov, who replaced the injured Mozes, entered the game poorly and made several mistakes that almost turned into an import. A couple of times Michael was lucky. Maybe Abaskal should have been allowed to play with Zinkovsky?

However, the main character of the first half of the meeting is Sochi striker Georgy Melkadze. The guests began to play more actively after the equator of the first half, Noboa made branded counter-passes, Makarchuk and Sarveli supported the attack, but Melkadze got worried in the match against the former team. The Sochi forward was twitching a lot, nervous, and the following episode became the quintessence: the ball flew to George when he was close to the Spartak goal, but for some reason Melkadze thought that he was offside and did not touch the ball. Although the offside position was not even close. It was a great chance to score, but in the end the teams went to halftime with zeros on the Otkritie Bank Arena scoreboard.

The second half started in much the same style as the first. Spartak looked more aggressive, Martins again figured in the attack, but the good old Quincy Promes scored the goal. Terekhov hesitated to leave the defense, he was covered by Ignatov (who was criticized for the first half), after Misha’s interception, the Dutchman got the ball and he confidently sent the ball into the net. The fifth goal in the fifth match, that’s Quincy’s form! A moment later, Promes almost scored a brace after his dribbling left the Sochi defenders in the cold.

One Antokha did not manage to make the score 2:0 – another one, Zinkovsky, did it. Joaozinho made a terrible mistake near the center of the field, Zobnin intercepted the ball, the hosts dispersed the attack, and as a result, the midfielder, who transferred from the Wings in the summer, closed Sobolev’s powerful cross. There is Zinkovsky’s first goal for Spartak! Until the end of the match, the Red-Whites withstood several dangerous attacks by Sochi, once the ball hit the Selikhov post, but the Muscovites did not flinch and kept the gates locked. Moreover, in the end, Promes scored a double and brought the advantage of Spartak to a large one, and at the same time caught up with Roman Pavlyuchenko in terms of the number of goals scored in the Spartak T-shirt (both now have 87).

After five rounds of the RPL, Spartak is in first place – when was this? The fruits of the work of the new coach Abaskal are visible. At the head of today’s match, among other things, was a successful team pressing. The Spaniard became the first coach in the history of the club, who obeyed the mark of 13 goals scored in five rounds. And in general, this game was the first serious test for his team, after easy victories over Ural and Orenburg.

Ivlev said that at a Dynamo match his daughters proposed

Daughters of the chairman of the board of directors of the Moscow Dynamo football club Alessandra Ivleva They proposed in one of the matches of the Russian championship. Ivlev talked about this in an interview.

Ivlev headed the Dynamo board of directors on October 6.

“I also have many memorable matches related both to the club and to my family. For example, my daughters brought Igor Semshov and Kevin Kuranyi to the field, which was very pleasant for me. I also remember the match with a personal theme, when my youngest daughter received a proposal from her future husband during the Dynamo – Spartak match. It was in our Dynamo stadium. So “Dynamo” is part of my family’s history,” Ivlev said.

He also told how the story of supporting Dynamo began. “I really, really love football. The first time I went to a match was in 1974. My father was a member of the Dynamo club, he even gave me his membership card, the membership fees were glued there. So, he took me to football for the first time. This is the Dynamo – Torpedo match at the old Dynamo stadium. To be honest, I rarely felt such emotions in childhood,” Ivlev noted. — Come, you see a large number of worried people, looking at 22 people on the field. To a guy, these are guys who run and hit the ball. I have already seen this at the level of children’s football in the yard. And here he is as an adult, really, when the fans in the stands scream. In fact, I was very impressed at that moment. From then on, when my father went to games, he always took me with him. Then I started going to the games too. When I started working in business, I often went on trips and went with my friends to watch games in other cities. And in Moscow I have been trying to go to all the home games for 18 years.”

“I played matches at Khimki Arena. I attended almost every match, even when Dynamo was relegated to the National Football League (FNL). Now at the stadium you can often see me in the stands, in the Platinum zone and on the floor, where there are many children’s activities and entertainment, and my granddaughter and I do face painting for her, all kinds of Dynamo symbols on her cheeks. The whole family comes with me and has supported the club for a long time,” added the interlocutor.

Gazzaev noted Galitsky’s contribution to the development of Russian football

President of the Krasnodar football club Sergei Galitsky made a significant contribution to the development of national football and showed an example of effective construction of a private club. This opinion was expressed by the former Moscow coach CSKA and the Russian national team Valeri Gazzaev.

December 29, President of Russia Vladimir Putin awarded Galitsky the Order of Friendship. The head of state noted his merits in the development of physical culture and sports, as well as many years of conscientious work.

“I really appreciate Sergei Galitsky’s contribution to the development of national football. He made a great contribution not only to the history of Krasnodar, but also to Russian football and sport in general. I believe that Sergei Galitsky is an example of how to build a private club. This is the most important thing, because the future of our football, in my opinion, lies in private clubs. Krasnodar has built a modern sports infrastructure, a strong children’s academy and in fact created a model of how a football club should develop, so this is an example for other teams,” Gazzaev said.

“Of course, the award received is deserved. I sincerely congratulate Sergei Nikolaevich, wish him good health, prosperity and further success, new achievements and strength to realize all his planned projects for the benefit of Russian football. He showed what a private football club could and should be. The future of our football lies in private clubs,” he added.

Galitsky is 58 years old. He founded Krasnodar in February 2008. In the 2024/25 season, the club became champions of Russia, winning the first trophy in history. In the current season of the World Cup – Russian Premier League, Krasnodar is in 1st place, gaining 40 points after 18 matches.
