Striker Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United in order to play in the Champions League, but the club insists that the player is not for sale, according to Sky Sports.

The 37-year-old Portuguese’s future at Manchester United remains unclear, with the club denying rumors that his contract will be terminated. The player has 12 months left on his current contract with the possibility of an extension for another year.

“There is no change in the club’s position,” the team’s official response to Ronaldo says.

Ronaldo spent the entire match with Brentford on August 13 (0:4). In the current draw of the Premier League, he did not score with effective actions in 2 meetings.

Earlier in the media it was reported that a group of Manchester United players are interested in seeing Ronaldo leave the team. In the camp of the Mancunians, the level of dissatisfaction with the attitude of the attacker towards the leadership is growing.
