Former Kazan Rubin coach Rinat Bilyaletdinov, in a conversation with Gazeta.Ru, shared his opinion on the appointment of Viktor Gancharenko to the post of head coach of Ural Yekaterinburg.
After four defeats in the first four matches of the season, Igor Shalimov was fired from the post of head coach of Ural. On Monday, club president Grigory Ivanov announced the appointment of Gancharenko. Previously, the specialist had already worked at Ural in 2015.
– I thought that Sergey Yuran would be appointed to this post. Probably, Gancharenko was appointed out of old memory. He was the coach of Ural, but he left because of a scandalous story. But many years have passed. Will he be able to lift the “Ural” from the bottom of the table? I think they did not wait for the rise under Shalimov either. The team almost got there to go to the set of forms. When Shalimov accepted the command, it also seemed that he would not succeed. “Ural” harnesses slowly, but then catches its game. Until Bikfalvi and Podberezkin, who are the fundamental players of the attack, got into shape. Shatov was also lost. When this trio is in order, then the Ural will rise. But they could gain form under Shalimov. I think Shalimov should have been given time to work. The team did not tolerate. Probably, Gancharenko will bring the team to a higher level than it is now. When a coach changes, the team is always emotionally shaken up. Maybe now it will happen. And then you have to look, – said Bilyaletdinov.
