Former head coach of Lokomotiv Yuri Semin reacted positively to the election of Alexander Alaev as president of the Russian Premier League (RPL), calling him a football man.
On August 16, Alaev was unanimously elected head of the RPL during a general meeting of league clubs.
“My attitude is the most positive, because he is a football person,” Rossiyskaya Gazeta quoted Semin as saying. – He has been in this organizational structure for a long time. Moreover, he was unanimously elected after the independent departure of Ashot Khachaturyants. Although one must give Khachaturyants his due, he did a lot of good things. Alaev likes his work.
