British billionaire Jim Ratcliff wants to buy Manchester United.
The entrepreneur wants to acquire a stake in the club with the prospect of taking full control of the “devils” if the current owners of the teams, the Glazer family, accept new investments. If the club goes up for sale, Ratcliffe will try to buy it.
The entrepreneur is the founder and co-owner of Ineos, which operates in the chemical industry. In 2020, his fortune was estimated at 28.2 billion pounds, in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index he was ranked 55th among the richest people in the world and 2nd in the UK.
Earlier it became known that the Glazers could sell a minority stake in Manchester United.
