Main coach CSKA Vladimir Fedotov evaluated the results of the draw for the group stage of the Clubs RPL in the Russian Cup.
All groups are equal in composition. We play with two clubs where I managed to work, these are Sochi and Ural. Also, we play with Torpedo, there will be no unnecessary transfers. In terms of logistics, it is very good that there are no teams from cities with closed airports, everything is quite affordable.
Will we always put in place the optimal formation, or will we give practice to those who earn little in the league? Now it’s too early to talk about it. The time will come and we will start from the circumstances in which we find ourselves. Rotation will be required and I can 100% say that underutilized players will receive game time. But we are determined to win in every game and will approach the choice of formation and tactics with the appropriate attitude.
Also, there are newcomers who have to adapt to our process. In this regard, such a tournament draw is welcome. Thanks to this format, we got a lot of interesting games. We will have good games in the group, and not just against Sochi and Ural. I think these additional matches will be interesting for fans of the capital and for Torpedo fans. In other groups there are clashes such as between Zenit and Spartak. The fact that more such matches will be played will benefit Russian football.
