The way some legionnaires have acted is ugly. You can leave – it’s your choice, no one is holding anyone back, because I myself was in Russia at that time. But you can leave in a positive way, saying “Goodbye” and “Thank you”.
In general, sport should be out of politics. But, unfortunately, as we can see, now everything is political. In Europe there is a lot of democracy in words, but in reality it is not. What is happening to Russian athletes and ordinary people in general, how they are treated, is a shame. Even for the Germans, when there was the Second World War, there was no such attitude.
